12/27/20: The Road Home Pt. 2

There’s not much to say about today. We ate in the hotel and they were doing the full COVID thing. They had employees handing out the items you wanted but at least they had the full spread. I got a waffle which kind of held up the line but at least it was good.

We packed up the car and got coffee at a local place called FeelLove Coffee and then hit the road. it was pretty decent coffee. The drive was fine until Vegas which is always the case. I think the section of 15 from Vegas to Barstow has the worst drivers and the highest number of stupid moves than any other road I’ve been on. Traffic did move at a good pace until it stopped on the descent down Cajon Pass. I don’t know why it’s always stop & go down that hill but it always seems to be an issue. We did stop for lunch at a noodle place in Barstow. CA has COVID rules in full effect so we had to take out the food and eat it in the Jeep.

Once past the 15/215 split we had an easy drive home. We got home around 5:30 and got all of our stuff put away and were done with the trip. The cat remembered us this time so he didn’t hide when we came in.
